Hosting their first indoor show of this scale outside of Cincinnati, EP is looking to unite fans from Ohio and beyond that all have one thing in common – a love of Dopapod!
Since the beginning of EP, Dopapod has been major player at their shows and festivals, ever since bringing them to The Madison Theater in Covington for Dopaween in 2013.
“Since the start of this EP venture, Dopapod was always a band we were eager to work with. Fans of their music first, we were beyond thrilled when we were able to join forces for Dopaween. When Chuck and Scotty both shaved their heads ‘Friar Tuck Style’ for that show I knew this was going to be the start of something great,” said Zack Szabo, co-owner of EP. “The band and crew are some of our favorite people to work with so we are always grateful for the opportunity to do so. Now, almost 3 years later from our first meeting, we have the chance to unite Ohio with 2 nights of Dopapod in Columbus – an honor we could not be more grateful for.”
Never failing to put on an incredibly memorable performance, Dopapod has been a fan favorite for years.
Who could forget their “Welcome to Paradise” opener and entirely epic set at Paradise Music & Arts Festival in 2014? Or last year, when they teamed up with Moon Hooch to play “Freight Train” at the Madison Theater?
Or, my personal favorite, when they were joined on stage at Resonance Music & Arts Festival in 2014 by members of Consider the Source for an electrifying rendition of “War Pigs”?
Fans can certainly expect two nights of similarly mind-blowing performances April 8 and April 9 at the Park Street Saloon, when EP and Dopapod team up once again.
“Park Street Saloon is an awesome venue and we have admired what Woodlands Productions has done in our neighboring city, Columbus,” said Casey Schneider, co-owner of EP. “We have enjoyed many shows at Park Street Saloon over the years and the idea of making that trip again, but now to host a 2 night event with one of our favorite bands is something we couldn’t be more excited about.”
As always, EP is bringing an extra visual aspect of entertainment with live painters both nights – but we’re doing things a little differently for this event.
For the first time ever, EP is hosting a “fan favorite artist” contest to determine which live painters will be featured at the event. This contest is designed to include as many artists from all over Ohio as possible. To be considered for the contest, email firstname.lastname@example.org by noon on Sunday, March 27. Voting will begin on the event Facebook page Sunday night.
